We also work to raise awareness on the importance of missions and help assist future missionaries with the tools and resources they will need to adhere to God’s calling.
Therefore, we set aside 10% of our annual budget to our Mission Trip Scholarship Fund, where we grant scholarships to high school and college aged students going on short-term mission trips.

A missionary is someone God calls out of an ordinary life to accomplish extraordinary things through living a life of service to others. Missionaries plant churches to share the message and hope of Jesus, they manage orphanages to give children in poverty love, shelter, and nourishment, they educate those who don't have the resources or funds to afford an education, and they perform medical procedures for those in dire need.
D3:28 Project want to keep these amazing people on the mission field to live out their calling and to make our world a better place. We have many successes under our belt, but we need more help, and that's where you come in. Encouragement, on this level, takes team work.

There are approximately 306,000 full-time Evangelical missionaries serving our world today. These include but are not limited to: church planters, medical professionals, orphanage directors, and educators. Statistics show that 1 out of every 20 missionaries (5%) leave the mission field every year. This translates to 5,300 missionaries leaving the field per year and 76,500 every five years.
Why? There are many reasons, such as retirement, sickness, and family matters. Many studies have shown that some of the top reason missionaries leave are: lack of funds, loneliness, discouragement, and unsuccessfulness. At D3:28 Project, we want to focus our attention and energy on these four reasons because we believe they are preventable. Therefore, we strive to do everything in our power to not allow these reasons to cause missionaries to leave the mission field.
